Purvis Gray is seeking a Tax Manager in Florida to lead tax engagements for privately held companies, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. You’ll provide both compliance and consulting services while mentoring staff and deepening client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Tax or JD/LLM is a plus.
• Active CPA license.
• Minimum 6+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or a corporate/public blend.
• Advanced knowledge of flow-through and pass-through taxation.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, client service, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple tax engagements from planning to delivery.
• Provide consulting and compliance services to privately held businesses and individuals.
• Supervise and mentor staff in a team-oriented environment.
• Perform technical tax research and develop strategic recommendations.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for clients.
• Manage client relationships and deliver a high level of service.
• Oversee engagement economics including budgeting, billing, and collections.
• Review tax forms for individuals (1040/1041), Exempt Orgs (990), partnerships (1065), and corporations (1120/1120-S).
