The role emphasizes client relationships, technical tax expertise across individuals, partnerships and trusts, leadership of staff, and a hybrid work model with in-office presence during tax season, plus competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• CPA or EA preferred.
• 4+ years in public accounting or boutique tax practice with preparation and review experience.
• Strong technical expertise in individual, partnership, and trust taxation.
• Proficiency with tax software (CCH preferred; Lacerte, ProConnect, or UltraTax experience transferable).
• Leadership capabilities to manage staff and multiple engagements.
• Client-first communication skills that build trust and confidence.
• Collaborative mindset with entrepreneurial energy and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts with accuracy and compliance.
• Manage tax season workflow, including oversight of seasonal staff, document intake, review processes, and timely e-filing.
• Build client relationships through direct communication and proactive tax planning conversations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with wealth advisers to integrate tax strategy into holistic financial plans.
• Drive operational excellence by leveraging our tech stack and identifying process improvements.
• Stay ahead of tax law changes and maintain rigorous standards for compliance and data security.

As our Tax Manager, you'll lead tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals and business owners while partnering with our Private Wealth and Retirement Plan Services teams to deliver integrated financial solutions. What You'll Do

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts with meticulous attention to accuracy and compliance
• Manage tax season workflow, including oversight of seasonal staff, document intake, review processes, and timely e-filing
• Build client relationships through direct communication, proactive tax planning conversations, and exceptional service delivery
• Collaborate cross-functionally with wealth advisers to integrate tax strategy into holistic financial plans
• Drive operational excellence by leveraging our tech stack (CCH, Redtail CRM, Microsoft Office) and identifying process improvements
• Stay ahead of tax law changes and maintain rigorous standards for compliance, confidentiality, and data security

What We're Looking For

• CPA or EA (preferred)
