Faycroft Search is seeking a Tax Manager in San Jose to join a small, stable team handling high-net-worth individuals and flow-through entities. You will review and prepare complex returns, work directly with clients, and leverage Lacerte with guidance from the owner.
The role offers a short in-office training period followed by a hybrid schedule, with firm staff who value stability and long tenure.
An established, owner-run CPA practice in San Jose is looking for a Tax Manager to join a small, stable team working on high-net-worth individual and flow-through entity tax. This is a firm that has turned down multiple private equity buyout offers to keep control in the owner's hands, so there's no PE ownership, no sudden change of terms with clients, and no watching your book get handed to someone else. For a manager who wants technical work, real autonomy, and a firm that isn't for sale.
You'll handle review-level work across individual and flow-through entity returns, including S-Corps, LLCs, K-1s and complex 1099 situations, working directly with clients as well as the return itself. The practice uses Lacerte, so day to day you're reviewing and preparing returns, working through technical questions with the owner and the team, and dealing with clients directly rather than through layers of staff. Training runs one to two weeks fully in-office to get you familiar with the systems and the team, after which the role moves to a hybrid schedule, roughly two days a week from home, depending on your experience and how quickly you're up to speed on Lacerte. The team includes staff who've been with the firm over a decade, so you're stepping into an established setup.
