Leoforce, a San Diego-based CPA firm, seeks a Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements for a diverse client base. You will supervise staff, prepare sophisticated tax returns, and provide strategic guidance across federal, state, and local tax matters.

The role emphasizes client-facing leadership, collaboration with senior leadership, and a mix of compliance, planning, and advisory work in a growing firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CPA-eligible is highly preferred.
• Experience of 4+ years in tax roles, preferably in public accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax compliance engagements from start to finish.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Prepare complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and others.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide actionable tax recommendations.

Job Details

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role with a public accounting firm.
• Proficiency in preparing complex individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws, with the ability to conduct thorough tax research and provide actionable recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead tax compliance engagements from start to finish.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain and build strong client relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; licensed CPA or CPA-eligible is highly preferred.
