The Tax Manager will oversee a wide range of client engagements, prepare and review complex returns, resolve technical tax issues, and provide innovative tax planning solutions while developing tax staff and maintaining strong client relationships.
● Manage multiple tax engagements, ensuring high-quality planning, consulting, and compliance services. ● Prepare and review complex returns for high-net-worth individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and nonprofit organizations. ● Review team members’ work for accuracy, completeness, and budget adherence. ● Work closely with internal managers and partners to maintain and grow client relationships. ● Mentor and coach tax staff at various levels. ● Resolve technical tax issues and respond to IRS and state tax authority inquiries. ● Ensure timely delivery of client deliverables and manage expectations. ● Identify additional service opportunities and introduce relevant firm offerings.
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. ● Active CPA license required. ● 5+ years of current or recent public accounting tax experience. ● Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and tax authority standards. ● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. ● Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. ● Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work. ● Proficiency with tax software and strong overall computer skills.
