Elevate is hiring an experienced Tax Director or Tax Manager for our Long Island, NY partner firm. The role supports and expands a growing tax practice within Elevate's national platform, delivering advisory and compliance services to entrepreneurial businesses and high-net-worth individuals.

You will lead client engagements, mentor a high-performing tax team, and collaborate with firm leadership to drive growth, quality and efficiency, including leveraging data analytics and AI tools.

Qualifikationen

• Active CPA license required.
• 7-10 years of progressive business taxation experience, ideally with a Big 4, large national or leading regional firm.
• Proven success leading client engagement and driving practice growth.
• Strong technical expertise across corporate, partnership, trusts, and individual taxation.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain meaningful client relationships.
• Established leadership experience with the ability to develop, mentor, and manage teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Deliver exceptional tax advisory and compliance services to entrepreneurial businesses, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals
• Oversee preparation of individual, partnership, trust and corporate tax filings
• Review complex returns
• Serve as a trusted advisor offering guidance on complex tax issues, entity structuring, and planning opportunities
• Respond to client inquiries across income tax, franchise tax, sales/use tax, labor, benefits, and related compliance areas
• Contribute to the management and growth of the tax practice, support oversight of the tax department's financial performance, and collaborate with multi-office teams to provide effective leadership across locations
• Support practice expansion by deepening services with existing clients and developing new relationships throughout the Long Island market
• Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing tax team, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture

• Develop engagement budgets and pricing, assign staff workloads, and prepare internal reports
