If you want to work for a company that values your contributions and supports your growth, we would like to meet you.**Essential Duties**Tax Services* Provide high quality individual, trust, estate, gift, foundation, and business tax compliance services as well as estate planning advisory services* Develop and implement tax planning strategies in alignment with client goals and objectives, including coordinating with advisors to integrate tax considerations into financial plans and investment strategies* Review individual, trust, estate, gift, business entity, and foundation returns* Handle Federal and State tax notices and audits* Review and analyze estate planning related legal documents* Research Federal, State and International tax laws, prepare tax memorandums on technical topics, and develop tax savings strategies* Be proactive and stay current on new tax legislation and tax reformExperience in tax compliance specific to the oil & gas sector:* Calculating depletion and depreciation, including cost and percentage methods* Experience with deductions unique to the oil & gas industry, such as dry hole costs and IDC* Calculating AMT adjustments specific to the oil & gas sector Business Development* Manage all aspects of client accounts with respect to tax, fostering client relationships, overseeing processes, and answering questions* Serve as a subject matter expert, resource, and point of contact for clients’ broader advisory team, including wealth advisors, financial planners, and other stakeholders* Conduct internal business development and marketing, including networking, public speaking and authoring income tax planning and Trust and Estate related articles* Provide internal training and guidance on tax-related topics* Manage other members of the group including monitoring their workload and training and assisting them **Qualifications*** BA/BS degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university, JD, or MS in Tax required* Active CPA, EA or state bar license required (eligible to be listed on POAs is required)* 6+ year’s progressive experience in public accounting required* Extensive experience in Tax Advisory and Gift/Estate/Trust planning and compliance for sophisticated high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families* Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required* Experience with reviewing individual, fiduciary, gift tax returns required, partnership and S corporation preferred* Preferred experience with CCH Axcess Tax & Bloomberg Income Tax Planner (Formerly BNA)* Experience with research software and memo writing required* Must be able and willing to work additional hours as needed to meet client deliverables*This position description is intended to provide a general overview of the expectations and responsibilities of this position and may not include all tasks that may be assigned.
