Job description

A large international manufacturing company is seeking a Tax Accounting Manager to join its Corporate Finance organization. This highly visible role leads key tax accounting workstreams, partners closely with senior leadership, and offers strong exposure, career mobility (tax, accounting, and finance), and excellent work-life balance.

What You’ll Do

• Lead quarter-end and year-end tax accounting close and worldwide tax provision (domestic & foreign)
• Prepare/review tax accounting schedules and memos (valuation allowances, unremitted earnings, other ASC 740 areas)
• Prepare and analyze income tax components of quarterly SEC financial statements
• Support tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, financings, and other business initiatives
• Coordinate U.S. federal provision-to-return true-ups in OneSource with the domestic tax compliance team
• Support senior Tax leadership on training, process improvement, and tax accounting initiatives
• Provide day-to-day functional oversight and directly manage one report

What They’re Looking For

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance (required); CPA and/or Master’s in Tax preferred
• 7+ years of relevant tax experience in Big 4/regional firm and/or large multinational tax department
• Strong ASC 740 experience for complex global organizations (domestic & international provisions)
• Experience preparing/reviewing foreign provisions and coordinating with foreign teams
• Technical depth in: interim reporting, intra-period allocation, purchase accounting, outside basis, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions
• Ability to perform complex tax research and communicate via memos, presentations, and discussions
• Experience with SAP, BPC, OneSource Tax Provision/Income Tax a plus
