Job summary

Jobtailor, based in Ohio, is seeking a senior tax professional to manage engagements for businesses and individuals, review complex returns, and provide proactive planning and advisory support. You will guide clients on structures, transactions, and multi-state tax considerations while mentoring tax staff and collaborating with firm leadership.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of public accounting tax experience, CPA/EA license, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
  • CPA or EA license.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience reviewing business tax returns and complex tax engagements.
  • Experience managing client relationships, engagements, workflow, deadlines, budgets, and communication.
  • Proven leadership, delegation, and process improvement skills.
  • Strong client communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and advisory skills.
  • Excellent professional English skills; client-facing role requiring phone, video, and written communication.
  • Dynamic, proactive, and comfortable working in ambiguous situations.

  • Manage engagement workflow, deadlines, budgets, and client communication.
  • Mentor, develop, and review the work of tax staff and seniors.
  • Collaborate with firm leaders to deliver high-value client service.
