Qualifications

• Strong communication, organizational, analytical and PC skills.

• Address and resolve complex tax issues.

For over 35 years, Councilman, Farlow, Marlowe & Co., PLLC, a dynamic public accounting firm located in Greensboro, NC, has provided tax, accounting, consulting and business advisory services to a diverse roster of business and individual clients. We are currently seeking a dedicated team player with 5+ years of recent public accounting experience to lead tax engagements for a diverse roster of clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts and estates
• Address and resolve complex tax issues
• Lead engagements throughout all phases of accounting including tax planning, compliance, consulting, bookkeeping and financial statement analysis
• Supervise, train and develop junior associates and be a valued resource to staff
• Build professional client relationships while demonstrating knowledge of client business

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibilities
• Ability to train and develop junior staff
• Knowledge of Federal and state income tax laws with the ability to remain abreast of tax regulations and trends
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, leadership and PC skills including Microsoft Office and tax software proficiency (Thomson Reuters software proficiency is a plus)
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with clients and all levels of staff and develop strong client relationships
