Qualifications

• CPA license current and in good standing.
• 8+ years of recent public accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax regulations.
• Knowledge of CCH products including Axcess Tax, Axcess Practice, and Prosystem fx Engagement.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research, organize and review client tax documentation
• Prepare Individual income tax returns
• Maintain compliance with tax regulations
• Reviews federal and state income tax returns for individuals
• Handles federal, state and local tax audits and letters.
• Prepares research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other taxing authorities.
• Trains and supervises staff, reviews and evaluates their work.
• Manages multiple clients, budgets and production goals.

About the Position:

The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of tax return preparation with the focus being on Individual Tax Returns. Tax planning and tax research will also be required for this position. Additional skills with business tax, personal property tax, trust, estate, and nonprofit tax returns are a plus. This person will be responsible for managing client tax engagements and supervision of busy season tax interns.
