Job summary

mstiller is seeking a Tax Manager to join our growing tax practice in Duluth, GA. The role drives compliance and planning for individuals and businesses, with a focus on client service and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in tax consulting or compliance, CPA license, and a strong track record in leadership, communication, and tax software (CCH Axcess preferred). On-site work with a collaborative team and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting.
• Licensed CPA.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns.
• Prepare income tax projections involving multiple scenarios and complex analyses.
• Coordinate with client personnel to obtain information for tax services.
• Plan and supervise schedules and analyses for income tax returns and other tax services.
• Stay informed about new tax developments and improve management and leadership skills.

As a Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Management of the preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, tax- exempt and other types of tax returns.


• Management of the preparation of income tax projections that involve multiple scenarios and complex analysis


• Coordination and communication with client personnel and others to obtain information essential to delivering tax services


• Plan and supervise the preparation of schedules and analyses of accounts needed for the preparation of income tax returns and other tax services


• Remain knowledgeable of new technical developments and leading-edge technologies that are of interest to the firm. Managers must also strive to develop and improve communication, management and leadership skills.
