Job summary

mstiller is seeking a Tax Manager to join our team in Atlanta. The role emphasizes leadership in tax consulting, client relationship management, and high-quality tax return preparation across individuals, corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary entities.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in tax, CPA credential, and strong communication skills, with experience in a fast-paced public accounting environment. We offer a supportive culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting.
• Licensed CPA.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Strong leadership, training, coaching, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Experience with tax software (preferably CCH Axcess) with the desire to quickly learn new software programs.

Responsibilities

• Management of the preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, tax-exempt and other types of tax returns.
• Management of the preparation of income tax projections that involve multiple scenarios and complex analysis
• Coordination and communication with client personnel and others to obtain information essential to delivering tax services
• Plan and supervise the preparation of schedules and analyses of accounts needed for the preparation of income tax returns and other tax services
• Remain knowledgeable of new technical developments and leading-edge technologies that are of interest to the firm. Managers must also strive to develop and improve communication, management and leadership skills.
