Overview

Typical Day / Responsibilities

• Prepares, Reviews, and Sign individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries.
• Works with the tax team to ensure the components of the tax process are performed, including tax planning, client interaction, and performing special tax projects.
• Analyzes tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
• Develops solutions and communicates those solutions to the engagement team and client.
• Manages client relationships by monitoring client needs and delivering value in professional service.
• Participates in business development activities.
• May assist with client billings to reflect work performed.
• Supervises and delegates duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff.
• Provides mentoring and technical training for employees in the tax department.
• Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.

Who You Are / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• 5–7 years of tax experience within public accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• Actively stays up-to-date on the changing tax industry regulations and policies.
• Self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment.
• Able to focus on complex tasks and understand the firm’s comprehensive compliance processes.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits

Des Moines, IA: $110,000.00–$138,000.00
