Key Qualifications
Technical Skills
  • Displays ability and confidence to articulate all technical requirements of Staff, layering in the ability to detail review and provide feedback to Staff on all aspects of Staff requirement.
  • Conducts first and second review of tax returns, tax notice responses and research projects, issue spotting planning items, tax savings strategies and communicating risk to Director, Managing Director or Partner as necessary.
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide quality tax planning to clients that encompasses the clients’ full business needs.
  • Resolves all issues with engagement team, only looping in PIC/Client when necessary.
  • “Close” tax return and communicate outstanding items directly with Client or PIC.
  • Communicate complex tax issues in simplified terms to engagement team, PIC, and Client.
  • Develop expertise in base client composition and assists Staff and other Managers.
  • Develops/improves workpapers, transferring knowledge from other areas of the practice or engagements to current engagement (breaking the mold on SALY).
  • Assigns, tracks and manages tasks/projects between a number of staff.
  • Demonstrates the ability to train Staff as to return preparation, IRS notice response, tax planning engagements and similar.
