Job summary

Our Client in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager with broad tax experience to lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and local returns and to mentor staff. This role emphasizes strong technical knowledge and collaboration with senior management.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (three days onsite) with a pathway toward partnership, and a compensation range of $130K–$205K per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• CPA is required.
• 5+ years of professional tax experience.
• Active CPA license required; EA pursuing CPA welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for compliance.
• Prepare and review tax returns for Partnerships, S & C Corporations, Individuals, Nonprofits, etc.
• Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff; review their work for accuracy.
• Maintain relationships with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.

Our Client is seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager for their growing, award-winning, firm. The ideal candidate will have strong generalist tax experience (ex: partnerships, individuals, S & C corps, nonprofits, etc.), as well as strong prep and review experience.

• Busy Season hours: 55 hours a week max
• Summer Friday (day off work)
• Potential to move into a Partner role

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare and review tax returns (Partnerships/ S & C Corps/ Individuals/ Nonprofits/ etc.)
• Research complex tax issues and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff, reviewing their work for accuracy and consistency.
• Create & maintain strong relationships with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
• Active CPA is required (alternatively, candidates with an active EA license pursuing their CPA are welcome to apply)
• 5+ years of professional tax experience
• Strong communication and analytical skills
