Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Advanced degree (JD, LLM, MBA, or MST) preferred.
• 12+ years of tax experience with focus on M&A transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal taxation.
• Proven track record in leading tax structuring for complex deals.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for non-tax stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives to optimize tax efficiency.
• Provide expert advice on federal income tax issues, including structuring, planning, and risk management.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on clients.
• Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to structure deals tax-efficiently.
• Provide strategic guidance on post-merger integration and restructuring to maximize tax benefits.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic tax planning and M&A advice.
• Conduct client meetings and presentations to articulate complex tax concepts clearly.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals in technical matters and development.
• Foster collaboration and continuous learning within the team.
• Identify and assess tax risks associated with business activities and transactions.
