Job summary

Insero & Co. CPAs, LLP in Rochester, NY, offers paid internship opportunities starting January 2027 for accounting students in undergraduate (sophomore–senior) or graduate programs who will return to school.

Interns will train on CaseWare and CCH Axcess, prepare 1099s, W-2s, and individual tax returns, and learn tax workflow. Strong communication, organization, and multi-tasking are essential as you gain hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Eligible accounting students enrolled in an undergraduate program (sophomore–senior) or graduate accounting degree program.
• Must be returning to school to be eligible.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Training on CaseWare and CCH Axcess software.
• Prepare 1099s, W-2s, individual income tax returns and extensions using the office system.
• Gain a basic understanding of how tax work flows through Insero.
• Improve basic organization and planning skills.

Requirements:

Accountingstudents who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and in theirsophomore through senior year or enrolled in a graduate accounting degreeprogram are eligible for this position. Students must be returning to school tobe eligible. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strongorganizational skills are required. Functional knowledge of the MS Office Suiteincluding Word and Excel is required. The ideal candidate must be able to meetdeadlines, be proactive, and have solid multi-tasking skills and stronganalytical ability.
