Job summary

Ryan in Plano, TX seeks an intern to work with subject matter experts in state, local, federal, and international taxation. You will train to become a seasoned tax professional while supporting Fortune 500 and 1000 clients in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities include client service, tax controversy support, memo drafting, and data-driven calculations; strong communication and organization are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Anticipated graduation date within one year of internship.
• Minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
• Minimum of 6–12 Accounting hours depending on practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional client service to multi-state companies and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Assist with state and local tax controversies, including hearings and protests.
• Research and draft memoranda on state and local tax questions.
• Respond to client inquiries and tax authorities; review documentation.
• Work with raw data to complete detailed calculations.
