Job summary

Ryan LLC is seeking interns for a state, local, federal, and international taxation practice. You will work with subject matter experts in a team-based environment to identify tax savings opportunities for Fortune 500 and 1,000 clients.

Interns receive training and development to become seasoned tax professionals, with hands-on experience and mentorship across more than 35 departments and locations worldwide.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, real estate or economics.
Anticipated graduation within one year of internship.
Minimum GPA 2.8 overall and in major.
6–12 accounting hours, depending on practice.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent client service to multi-state companies and identify tax savings opportunities.
Assist with state and local tax controversies, including hearings and protests.
Draft technical memoranda on state/local tax questions.
Respond to client inquiries and tax authority requests.
Research issues and work with raw data to perform detailed calculations.
