Job summary

CLA is seeking Tax Interns for our Green Bay and Sheboygan offices to gain hands-on tax experience while pursuing a degree in accounting or finance. You will prepare various tax returns and assist with tax planning, while learning procedures, workpapers, and systems.

Ideal candidates are pursuing accounting or finance degrees, aiming for CPA eligibility, and willing to travel to client sites. This internship offers exposure to multiple client engagements and formal training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Working towards a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Achieving credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge, through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
