Job summary

Sorren is seeking a Tax internship in Denver, CO to support the firm’s tax preparation and accounting processes as part of a collaborative team.

You will assist in preparing returns, supporting accounting tasks, and reviewing documents while learning tax concepts and software in a professional setting. The role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to a variety of tax projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn tax preparation software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Support quarterly and annual accounting tasks that feed into tax preparation.
• Help review prior returns and documents to gather and organize missing information.
• Record tax data with accuracy and attention to potential connections across entities.
• Assist in calculating quarterly and annual estimated tax liabilities.
• Participate in basic tax planning discussions and projects as appropriate.
• Communicate clearly with internal team members to clarify data or document issues.
• Contribute to team projects and participate in learning opportunities and training sessions.
• Perform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership.
• Meet agreed upon targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity.
