Job summary

HTB is seeking an entry-level Tax Associate to join our Tax Team, where you’ll learn from experienced professionals and gain real client experience. You’ll work closely with seniors and partners to prepare tax returns, review client data, and develop basic technical skills in a collaborative environment.

You’ll be mentored as you become familiar with the firm’s policies, tax software, and research tools, with clear career progression and a focus on professional development and client service

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
• Zero to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Learns and assists tax professionals under direction of Seniors, Supervisors, Manager, Senior Managers, and Partners.
• Becomes familiar with the firm's policies and procedures including tax return preparation and procedures, including documentation and processing.
• Keeps current on technical issues and learns to apply them to client circumstances.
• Becomes proficient in the use of the various software programs used by the firm. Also becomes familiar with research tools used by the firm.
• Learns to prepare and process client tax returns.
