Job summary

Platform Accounting Group is seeking a Tax Intern to join our Austin, TX office. The intern will assist with researching and resolving technical tax issues, support a variety of tax projects, and contribute to other assignments as needed.

The role requires collaboration, openness to feedback, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment while gaining exposure to complex tax returns and tax software tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing accounting degree or related field.
• Interest in Public Accounting industry.
• Ability to receive and act on feedback.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities (C-corps, S-corps, partnerships, individuals, gift/estate tax).
• Research and consult on tax matters; use tax-related software for research.
• Assist with bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and other accounting services.
• Support client relationships and understand each client’s business and finances.
• Collaborate with the intern team across Platform to share best practices.
