Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Tax Intern to gain hands-on experience in public accounting across advisory, assurance and tax services. You will work under multiple supervisors on diverse client engagements and learn Firm technology applications.

Ideal candidates are accounting students two years from graduation, with a 3.0 GPA or higher preferred, and a willingness to travel to client sites. This internship emphasizes mentorship, teamwork, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completing an accredited accounting or related program, two years from graduation.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel.

Responsibilities

• Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements
• Apply accounting knowledge while performing client work using Firm technology
• Shadow Tax professionals of all levels
• Participate in team building and training initiatives
• Participate in and present on a marketing or research project
• Attend social functions: happy hours, lunches, community service projects and other outings
