Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Tax Intern to gain hands-on experience in a leading accounting and advisory firm. You will work under multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements, applying accounting knowledge with Firm technology, and shadowing tax professionals at all levels.

You will participate in team training, and may contribute to marketing or research projects, while taking part in and attending social and professional events that foster growth and networking.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or enrolled in an accredited accounting or related program, within two years of graduation.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel.

Responsibilities

• Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements.
• Apply accounting knowledge while performing client work using Firm technology.
• Shadow Tax professionals of all levels.
• Participate in team building and training initiatives.
• Participate in and present on a marketing or research project.
• Attend social functions: happy hours, lunches, community service projects and other outings.
