BDO USA, PC is seeking a Tax Intern for Core Tax Services in Dallas. You will prepare returns and extensions under supervision, using your accounting education to support client service teams and adhere to the BDO Tax Quality Manual.

The role offers hands-on experience with tax software and proactive workload management. This internship supports CPA education, with opportunities to observe experienced professionals, develop technical skills, and build professional relationships.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting or related field.
• Pursuing a masters degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Actively pursuing CPA credits.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple tax returns under supervision using tax software.
• Assist with tax compliance and data gathering for filing requirements.
• Support with ASC 740 tax provisions and related work papers.
• Contribute to preparing extensions and quarterly estimates.
• Assist in responding to IRS notices as needed.
