This role offers hands-on experience in tax preparation and client work during the busy season. Interns will contribute to various client engagements, ranging from community banks to SEC-registrants, gaining valuable industry-specific knowledge and developing professional skills.

- Mission: Prepare a variety of tax returns and related financial reports for diverse clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance during the busy tax season.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Work Paper Creation: Accurately prepare a variety of reports and work papers in accordance with the firm’s standard of quality.
- Tax Document Processing: Prepare various types of tax returns as directed and efficiently address any review comments in a timely manner.
- Financial Estimation: Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations for clients.
- Client Engagement: Perform diverse client work for the tax group’s variety of clients, including corporations, partnerships, individuals, and financial institutions.
The Must-Haves
- Background: Entry-Level. Candidates should be working towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Experience: Internship to start during candidate’s junior or senior year of school; candidates completing their master’s program will also be considered. Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week (Monday through Friday) with a set schedule required. Occasional Saturdays may be needed beginning March 1st through the end of the internship (4-6 hours).
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, highly organized with good time management skills.
- Bonus: GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred.
