The National Fraud Enforcement Division, U.S. Department of Justice is seeking qualified, experienced attorneys for permanent Trial Attorney positions in the Tax Section.

Generally, as a Trial Attorney in Tax, the incumbent will collaborate with Assistant U.S. Attorneys and federal agencies, advise on charging decisions, and litigate cases from investigation through trial in U.S. District Courts nationwide.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active bar membership in good standing.
• Licensed to practice in any U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
• Active bar membership required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and prosecutions with strategy development.
• Collaborate with U.S. Attorneys and federal agencies on tax fraud cases.
• Manage all phases of investigation and litigation in U.S. District Courts.
• Advise on charging decisions and dispositions for assigned cases.
• Provide guidance to junior attorneys and supervise staff.
• Commit to a three-year term upon offer.
