Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in sales and use tax compliance or related finance role.
• Experience filing multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax returns.
• Familiarity with tax software such as Avalara, Vertex, Sovos.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns across jurisdictions.
• Reconcile sales tax, payroll, and related general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate tax rate tables and exemption certificates.
• Research and resolve tax discrepancies, notices, and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Assist with sales tax audits by gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and evaluate their impact on company operations.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Sales, Purchasing, IT, and other departments for proper tax treatment.
• Support tax planning, compliance initiatives, and financial reporting activities.
• Coordinate, analyze, and present financial data clearly for management.
• Participate in system implementations, process improvements, and tax/payroll projects.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for compliance and audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
