Conexus, a large publicly-traded company in the San Gabriel Valley, seeks a Director/Senior Director of Tax to lead the tax accounting function, including monthly close, FIN 48 reserves, and tax disclosures for financial reporting. You will drive regulatory compliance and tax strategy with a focus on robust internal controls.

The role requires a high-impact leader to manage a tax team, improve processes, and safeguard sensitive information while aligning with corporate finance goals.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience leading teams through supervision or projects.
• Ten or more years in income tax accounting, including tax provision and reporting.
• Extensive knowledge of ASC 740 and SOX controls and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's tax accounting function, overseeing monthly tax close, FIN 48 reserve analysis, and disclosures for financial reporting.
• Direct regulatory tax compliance activities.
• Research, interpret, and implement complex tax accounting guidance (ASC 740, FIN 48).
• Oversee tax repair capitalization, depreciation methodologies, and property tax processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and internal controls through process improvements.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a tax team.
• Safeguard assets and ensure secure handling of confidential information.
