Strong communication and tax compliance expertise are essential for success. Ideal candidate has CPA and 10+ years in tax, including individual, fiduciary, estate and gift taxation, with public accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Public accounting experience.
• CPA certification.
• 10+ years work experience in tax compliance (individual, fiduciary, estate and gift taxation).
• Master's degree in tax or equivalent field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review of tax projections, tax workpapers and tax returns (Federal and State Individual and Fiduciary).
• Oversee and manage the tax return process including identification and resolution of tax issues.
• Experience with corporation and partnership accounting and tax concepts.
• Mentor, train and manage staff accountants to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Lead and manage multiple tax engagements in a team environment and independently; identify opportunities for new client services.
• Ability to lead engagements, including budgeting, billing and engagement economics.
• Proactive approach to serving clients.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:

• Review of tax projections, tax workpapers and tax returns. Specifically, Federal and State Individual and Fiduciary tax returns.




• Oversee and manage the tax return process including identification and resolution of tax issues

• Mentor, train and manage staff accountants to meet deadline and prioritize workload




• Effectively manage multiple tax engagements in a team environment, and also work independently. Identify potential opportunities for new and/or expanded client services




• Ability to lead and manage engagements, including budgeting, billing and engagement economics




• Highly proactive approach to serving clients

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required




• Public accounting experience




• CPA




• 10 + years work experience in tax compliance, specialization in individual, fiduciary, estate and gift taxation

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in tax or equivalent field preferred
