Job summary

Cencora is seeking a principal tax advisor to guide MSO tax strategy and provide expert leadership on complex tax matters across acquisitions and dispositions. You will oversee the Tax Manager MSOs, coordinate with internal and external experts, and drive tax planning to optimize cash taxes and efficiencies for Cencora's MSO operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree, a CPA and a Juris Doctor degree from accredited institutions.
• Minimum 5–10 years' experience in partnership taxation with a major firm.
• Extensive knowledge of US tax code, Subchapter K and ASC 740.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a principal tax advisor to MSO management teams.
• Supervises Tax Manager MSOs and Mergers & Acquisitions.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to optimize MSO tax rate and cash taxes.
• Performs tax law research and prepares opinions supporting tax planning.
• Leads tax due diligence for acquisitions, dispositions, and MSO M&A.
• Reviews acquisition/disposition agreements with counsel and tax advisors.
• Coordinates with internal and external tax experts on planning and due diligence.
• Prepares periodic status updates for acquisitions or dispositions.
• Collaborates with internal tax compliance and tax provision teams.
• Performs related duties and participate in tax projects.
