Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) in Illinois seeks a Tax Director or Manager to join the Greater Chicagoland Tax practice. This role partners with clients on strategic tax planning and lead engagements with a focus on growth and service excellence.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years in tax at a public accounting firm, a CPA, and a passion for mentoring staff. You will review complex returns, mentor teams, and engage with clients to drive business success.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of tax experience at a public accounting firm.
CPA is required; JD or EA may be accepted in place of CPA.
Experience leading tax engagements and reviewing complex returns.
Strong client relation and advisory skills.

Responsibilities

Consult with clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
Foster and build opportunities for clients, communities, and people.
Attend industry-leading events and trainings to stay current.
Perform a range of tax procedures including wealth transfer and estate planning.
Review complex individual and corporate tax returns.
