Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Tax Director or Manager to join our Greater Chicagoland Tax practice. You will lead tax engagements, consult with clients on planning, and mentor team members in a collaborative environment.

We require a minimum of 6 years in tax at a public accounting firm, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, and CPA certification (JD or EA may be accepted in place of CPA). Compensation ranges from $108,000 to $192,000 with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience serving in a tax role with a public accounting firm.
• CPA is required. JD or EA may be accepted in place of CPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
• Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
• Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement (including wealth transfer and estate planning).
• Review complex individual and corporate tax returns.
