Job summary

CLA is seeking a Tax Director/Manager for our growing Northeast Tax practice with locations including Boston, Andover, New Bedford, Quincy, Worcester, and more. This role focuses on leading tax engagements, mentoring teams, and delivering strategic tax planning for clients.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in a large firm, CPA certification, and a passion for corporate tax. Massachusetts compensation ranges are highlighted with strong career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.
• 10+ years experience highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Active CPA certification. A JD or EA may be accepted in place of a CPA certification.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Passion for public accounting and Corporate Tax.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
• Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
• Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement.
• Review complex individual and corporate tax returns.
