Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions for the firm’s funds and management company.
• Coordinate with fund administrators and outside tax advisers on allocations, estimates, and filings.
• Prepare tax reconciliations and investor tax estimates.
• Lead year-end tax planning and reporting.
• Serve as a point of contact for investor tax questions in partnership with other internal teams.
• Partner with Investment and Trading teams to improve fund tax efficiency.
• Manage tax audits at the federal and state level.
• Stay current on tax legislation changes relevant to the business.
• Oversee tax filings for a principal’s family office and related charitable entities.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and expense management for the management company.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required
• 8+ years of tax experience, ideally starting in public accounting before moving in-house at a fund or investment manager

• Strong business partner mindset, using sound judgment in the firm’s best interest rather than a strictly by-the-book approach
