Lead a high-performing tax team, mentor staff, and educate on technical tax matters and BD activities. The position emphasizes collaboration across the firm, proactive client service, and staying ahead of evolving tax laws.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Proven client relationship and business development skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Director to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients in the Professional Services industry on complex tax planning and compliance for partnerships, corporations, and individual stakeholders
• Resolve sophisticated tax issues by developing innovative, compliant strategies to reduce liabilities
• Cultivate long-term client relationships by delivering exceptional service and proactive communication
• Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and leading market-facing initiatives
• Design strategic business development plans to increase visibility and expand the firm’s presence in the industry
• Represent the firm at industry events to strengthen brand recognition and attract prospective clients
• Mentor and lead a high-performing team, fostering professional development and a collaborative culture
• Educate staff on technical tax matters, client engagement, and business development skills
• Oversee complex tax compliance engagements and ensure the accuracy of filings, research, and technical memos
• Monitor changes in tax laws and industry trends to ensure firm and client compliance and preparedness

Requirements
