Olsen Thielen & Co., Ltd. is seeking an experienced Tax Director to advance your career with a well‑established Minnesota firm. Based in Roseville with an additional Eden Prairie office, you’ll lead tax reviews, research, and planning while mentoring staff and driving client strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• 9+ years of tax experience.
• Strong technical tax consulting skills.
• Leadership abilities in coaching, mentoring, and directing staff.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Proven success in business development and marketing.

• Perform technical tax reviews and approvals of tax returns.
• Lead and delegate tax research and tax planning projects.
• Actively participate in client meetings and tax strategy development.
• Serve as a resource to staff and address complex tax issues.
• Communicate key tax updates to both the internal team and clients.

• Ensure efficient and timely delivery of tax projects, meeting productivity goals.
• Stay informed on economic and legislative changes impacting the tax landscape.
• Achieve business development goals by marketing firm services to current and prospective clients.

Olsen Thielen offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to reward performance and recognize your value to the firm. The starting salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000, based on factors like experience, qualifications, and organizational needs. Compensation also includes a bonus structure and eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, 401(k) with employer contributions, profit sharing, and more.
