Job summary

Carta is seeking a Tax Associate in Seattle, WA to join our Tax team and help deliver tax returns and manage filing processes. You’ll support e-filings, notices, and client inquiries while coordinating with our accounting, fund administration, and compliance groups across Carta’s products and services.

Ideal candidates have experience preparing and filing tax returns, strong attention to detail, and an interest in working on broader projects alongside the tax function.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting the preparation and filing of tax returns and IRS e-filings.
• Ability to route tax inquiries to federal/state/international teams.
• Collect and validate tax records and financial data via Carta Tax software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tax return processing including e-filing and mailing of federal and state filings.
• Scan and file federal and state notices and maintain notice tracker.
• Provide administrative support to tax team leaders and respond to client inquiries.
