Job summary

Databricks is seeking a tax data engineer to architect redesigns of tax processes by building automation solutions and data pipelines across the Finance Data Lake. You will act as the technical anchor between tax and finance data teams and enable automated reporting and forecasting.

In this high-impact role you will orchestrate pipelines, develop AI-enabled tax workflows, and build dashboards for stakeholders while ensuring data integrity and SOX-compliant processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in tax automation, transformation, or data engineering.
• Experience with SQL and Python for data pipelines.
• Experience with ELT/ETL pipelines connecting tax source systems to tax workflows and reports.
• Ability to translate ambiguous Tax requirements into well-scoped, maintainable technical deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate tax data pipelines and automated processes on Databricks platform.
• Identify and deliver AI use cases for tax automation.
• Build internal tax apps and dashboards for self-service for finance stakeholders.
• Create reports and dashboards for monthly, quarterly, and executive reporting.
• Ensure data integrations are maintained and reconciled for tax reporting and forecasting.
• Enforce Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines to satisfy SOX requirements.
