Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Tax Credit Senior Counsel in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax credit finance, particularly with real estate finance and New Markets Tax Credits. Candidates in St. Louis are strongly preferred, but consideration will be given to those in Austin, including virtual office arrangements.

Duties

• Advise clients on tax credit finance and development matters.
• Collaborate with teams on real estate finance projects.
• Provide expertise in New Markets Tax Credits.
• Engage in client development and relationship management.

Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of tax credit experience.
• Active bar license in the relevant state or commitment to obtain one.
• Experience with real estate finance preferred.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

Active bar membership in good standing.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
