The primary mission of Tax is to ensure the firm’s compliance with tax laws across countries and jurisdictions where it operates, and to assist in managing tax risk.

Key Tax Functions
  • Preparing and reviewing indirect tax returns
  • Representing the firm in audits of indirect state tax filings
  • Keeping management updated on audit developments and tax exposures
  • Planning and analyzing new deals
Role Description

Join a leading financial services organization’s in-house tax department within the State and Local Indirect Tax group.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare sales, property, and other excise tax returns for multiple entities
  • Collaborate with teams such as Commodities Operations, Corporate Real Estate, and Accounting Services for information gathering
  • Assist with audits and prepare state registration forms
  • Handle state refund claims and respond to state notices
  • Research tax topics and new deal transactions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; advanced degree or CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant tax experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
  • Team-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities
