Job summary

Keystone CPAs in Reno, Nevada, is seeking a proactive Paralegal to support our Tax Services Group (TSG). You will own administrative case coordination, prepare supporting documents, drive client follow‑ups, and keep deadlines and deliverables on track under attorney supervision.

This full‑time onsite role reports to the Tax Controversy Manager and collaborates with attorneys and CPAs across the US. The compensation ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 annually, with benefits including health coverage,

Qualifications

• At least three years of paralegal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, government agency, or comparable professional setting.
• Paralegal certificate, associate degree in paralegal studies, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex matters, tracking deadlines, and preparing accurate, review-ready documents.
• Strong writing, proofreading, research, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete, accurate, and organized electronic files for tax controversies, audits, appeals, and related advisory matters.
• Log and route agency notices, track response dates, filing deadlines, document requests, owners, and next steps.
• Maintain current case calendars and action lists; escalate missing information and deadlines early.
• Prepare concise case summaries, timelines, and status updates identifying open items and next actions.
