Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a growing accounting team in a newly created role. The position focuses on tax compliance oversight, financial reporting, and technical accounting, collaborating with internal leadership and outside tax advisors to organize processes and ensure deadlines are met.

Note: this role does not prepare tax returns; instead, it serves as an internal resource to understand financials, recognize tax implications, and determine when outside

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee tax compliance processes with external tax advisors.
• Maintain tax calendars, deadlines, supporting schedules, and documentation.
• Review accounting records and financial statements for accuracy and potential tax implications.
• Identify tax-related issues and areas requiring additional review.
• Review tax returns, workpapers, and supporting schedules prepared by outside advisors.
• Assist with tax projections, estimated payments, distributions, and other tax-sensitive matters.
• Monitor filing requirements, deadlines, and changes in tax regulations.
• Research tax and accounting matters as needed.
• Support financial reporting and technical accounting initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting, tax, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with accounting team members on complex issues and special projects.
• Serve as a technical resource for tax and accounting-related questions.
• Assist with various projects and priorities across the accounting function as needed.
