Colonial Group, Inc. is seeking a Tax Accountant to support the tax department with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax, fuel excise, and property tax filings.

The role involves setting up master tax data within various operating systems and assisting with tax returns and related reports across subsidiaries. Requirements include a BS/BA in Accounting or related Tax degree and 1–3 years of indirect tax experience.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience with indirect tax and compliance and/or excise tax filing.
• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or related Tax field is required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/use tax returns across jurisdictions.
• Support fuel excise filings for multiple companies and states.
• Assist with tax data setup in accounting systems to ensure compliance.
• Reconcile tax general ledger accounts monthly to verify liabilities.
• Respond to tax compliance inquiries from internal teams.
