Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• 5-7 years' experience in public accounting tax preferred.
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Specialty designation or certification (EA, CFE, ERPA, ABV, QB Specialist) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax compliance, help with audits, and respond to tax letters.
• Serve as the primary engagement manager with billing, realization, and collections.
• Determine tax objectives, scope and methodology; participate in client decisions.
• Manage client engagement and technical knowledge in taxation areas.
• Develop and execute a business development plan including networking and client expansion.
• Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns; overall project management.
• Researching complex tax matters and identifying solutions.
• Representing clients regarding tax notices and audits.
• Monitor developments in tax legislation and prepare guidance for IRS submissions.
• Develops expertise in specialty area and trains staff.
