Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting program (3rd or 4th year preferred).
• Strong interest in pursuing a CPA designation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, especially during busy season.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns.
• Assist with preparation of tax and government filings.
• Support tax planning initiatives and research tax issues using internal and external resources.
• Prepare and maintain tax working papers and documentation in compliance with firm standards.
• Assist with correspondence to clients.
• Ensure deadlines are met and work is completed with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with senior staff on client engagements and participate in tax season activities.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
