Job summary

Wegner CPAs in Wisconsin seeks a Staff Accountant to provide tax and accounting services for clients under the In-Charge. You will enter bills, prepare payments, record deposits and perform journal entries.

Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, financial statements, 1099s and various tax returns, with exposure to 1120/1120S/1065 filings. The role offers a flexible schedule and a work-from-home option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Eligible to sit for CPA exam or pursuing CPA with employer support.
• Tax experience: 1 year (Preferred).
• Experience preparing tax returns and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Enter bills, prepare payments and record deposits using accounting software.
• Make adjusting journal entries and reconcile cash and bank statements.
• Prepare interim financial statements and schedules.
• Prepare 1099s and various tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040s, sales tax).
• Plan and execute financial statement engagements and workpapers.
