Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an experienced investment professional to manage tax-aware equity portfolios for high-net-worth and institutional clients. You will combine quantitative portfolio construction, disciplined implementation, and risk oversight with direct client engagement.

Ideal candidates have 508 years of experience in investment management, a Bachelors in a related field, and CFA progression; CFA designation or equivalent credentials are valued.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of equity markets and portfolio theory.
• Ability to interpret risk models, tracking error and after-tax performance.
• Experience with tax-aware portfolios and direct indexing is valued.

Responsibilities

• Review and optimize portfolios daily for tax-loss harvesting and risk control.
• Construct and rebalance toward client benchmarks and objectives.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and communicate portfolio decisions to clients.
